  • Main Street Communications Ltd. is a strategic planning and communications firm based on Vancouver Island in Canada. In 2013 Main Street was shortlisted by Small Business BC as one of the Top 5 Online Marketers in the province and founder Vicki McLeod was an RBC Women of Influence nominee as a Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year for 2014 & 2015. She was honoured as 2014 Business Leader of the Year in Main Street’s home community of Maple Ridge B.C., Canada.

     

  • Our Agency

    Vicki McLeod founded Main Street in 1994. Ian McLeod joined the company as a partner in 2000.  Main Street offers expertise in organizational planning and leadership development, facilitation, and public consultation. We develop and execute strategic communications and marketing plans. delivering print and digital collateral materials such as newsletters, ad buys, corporate profiles and website content as well as crafting social media strategies and content.

    Past projects include the Golden Ears Bridge, the Maple Ridge Town Centre Redevelopment, the Burnaby Centre for Mental Health and Addiction and the Prospera Centre in Chilliwack.

    Our team is committed to being consistently amazing. We share a passion for building capacity for our clients and growing our own expertise and scope, and what we don’t have in-house, we find. We work with skilled associates and have access to an international group of consultants, trainers and certified systems coaches with expertise in business, government, health care, education, human resources, and the arts.

    We build relationships that matter, characterized by trust and collaboration. 

    Long-term clients have included the City of Chilliwack, the Abbotsford School District, the City of Pitt Meadows, the Ridge Meadows Recycling Society, the B.C. Electrical Joint Training Committee (EJTC) and IBEW 213.

  • Ian McLeod

    Vicki’s partner since 2000, Ian is a former journalist in Canadian politics and business. He began communications consulting in the late 1980s, and was a director of communications with the BC government for five years. He survived. 

    Following a four-year stint at Edelman Vancouver and a two-year writing sabbatical, Ian continued working with Main Street in multi-level stakeholder consultations and acts as a business development advisor and consultant. In late 2012 he returned to Edelman Vancouver as Vice-President, Corporate Affairs. We were delighted to welcome him back to Main Street full-time in January 2016. He plays online at Fraseropolis.com.

  • Vicki McLeod

    Vicki McLeod is a consultant, personal and business coach, trainer and author. She has trained and mentored more than 130 businesses province-wide in marketing, branding and how to consciously use digital and social media strategies. She designs and delivers leadership development and change management strategies for civic, health care, and education leaders and organizations. She has held management positions in the arts, environmental and economic development sectors.  She has an international certification in Organizational and Relationship Systems Coaching.
